We are currently seeking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer (COO) on behalf of our client. This role is a Senior Leadership position and reports to the Managing Director (MD). This role is responsible for developing and driving the Company’s business operations, distribution, and customer care strategy. Leading a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, the successful candidate will develop and manage a customer operations organisation that provides best service to our Customers.

What else it involves:

Define and implement the Products Distribution and customer service strategy. Implement service targets that drive improved sales performance. Devise, drive and implement strategic recommendations that lead the organisation to outperform budget targets. Analysis of all costs to ensure the optimal deals are in place. Drive strategy from analysis of operational statistics – KPIs & SLAs. Manage the sales channels to deliver the best service which meets the needs and requirements of the business in sales targets, customer experience and proposition/product promotion.

Customer Operations: Lead the customer operations department, providing direction, focus and motivation on the strategy and key business deliverables. Inspire, develop and manage the billing and collections department to deliver a high performing team that is supported by well thought out process and procedures. Develop and manage Fraud and Security function to support the distribution channels, while safe guarding the assets of the business.

Business Analyst

Job title: Business Analyst

Supervisor/ Manager title: CFO

Job summary:

Reporting to the CFO, the business analyst will play a critical role in the strategic agenda of the company by conducting analysis and external research, reviewing past and future business performance and formulating control processes to ensure that the strategic initiatives laid down are achieved.

Key responsibilities:

Business performance:
 Review financial performance information and prepare relevant analysis reports e.g. 13 month trackers
 Using business intelligence tools to conduct sales analysis, depot performance, salesmen performance, weekly regional and route/vehicle performance data (BEP).
 Monitor inventory movement per depot versus collections and giving a snap review of range selling
 Track performance on KPIs and other strategic initiatives for all departments and prepare appropriate reports for management.
 Analysis of margin contribution by the different principals, products and SKUs and rank business according to revenue, profitability
 Conducting internal and external data analysis to determine market share for various principals & products.
 Review each principal’s participation in pushing products, advertising, personnel support etc and quantify the benefits                                                                                                                                                                                                        Use data modelling tools to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
 Prepare cash flow forecasts to support the business plans and initiatives
 Carry out market research on the competitiveness of products vis a vis competitor products in a bid to understand and capitalise on our competitive advantage
 Prepare comprehensive, accurate and up to date product reports on periodic and ad hoc basis

 Prepare compliance with shareholder requirement such as submission of timely 13 month trackers

Occasional duties

 Any other relevant duties as directed by the Supervisor

 Ability to identify areas of improvement and gaps and find possible solutions
 The jobholder advises the CFO on business opportunities especially with regards to business development

Educational requirements

An undergraduate degree with professional qualifications in finance or accounting.

Related job experience/Qualifications

Minimum of two to three years’ experience working in a related role. A good understanding of general business and initiative are key to success in this role.

Additional skills

 Strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge and understanding of excel modelling and use of business intelligence tools is essential.
 Good formal presentation skills.
 Excellent oral communication and report writing skills.
 A good appreciation of economic developments locally and in the region.
 Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Suite of packages.

Senior Audit Associate

The Senior Audit Associate participates in and leads staff on audit engagements. The incumbent is afforded the opportunity to undertake more challenging assignments, clients, staff responsibilities relating to auditing procedures.

• Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
• Run client audit engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing and completing integrated and financial statement audits, and managing to budget.
• Supervise, train, and mentor audit associates and interns on the audit process, and assess performance of audit staff for audit engagement reviews and year-end performance reviews.
• Work with audit team to identify and resolve client issues discovered during audit process.
• Research and analyze accounting issues and transactions, and audit-related and tax-related issues utilizing electronic databases, and employ audit software to review and compile financial information.
• Maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform the audit services.
• Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Assist audit partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes and business objectives, and utilize that knowledge on the audit engagements.
• Participate in the firm’s on-going audit recruiting efforts as needed.
• Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field required.
• CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is highly desirable.
• 3-5 years of progressive audit experience in a professional services firm.
